We had a wonderful Mink Family Night painting pumpkins! Huge thank you to Sweetie's Rollin' Pumpkin Patch, Pam's Bundt Cakes, Calhoun Family Engagement, and Calhoun PTO!

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held Monday, October 23rd from 3:15 - 6:15 pm. Please make contact with your child's teacher if you wish to schedule a conference.
This Week @ CES
Moon Pies will be here after fall break! Please plan to pick up your student's orders on Thursday, October 19 from 8:30 - 2:00 pm from side gym door #11. Food trucks will be here at lunch open to adult customers if you wish to make it a full day of food!
Calhoun 3rd graders enjoyed the Health Expo held at McMinn Bicentennial Park. Huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers and organizations that made this such a special day!
We are learning about energy in our Science unit. Today, 4th grade conducted an experiment where they were able to observe how potential energy (an object sitting still) can quickly turn into a burst of kinetic energy (movement) when pressure is built up inside a small tube. We had so much fun watching our rockets fly high!
ATS The Bridge presented Timbi Talks to students today. Timbi is the drug prevention program being used at Calhoun.
Reminder: Health screening permission forms are due tomorrow. Please fill the form out completely and return to your child's teacher.
Friday is the deadline for Pumpkin Painting registration and fall picture orders.

Calhoun's 7th & 8th grades enjoyed a day at Mayfield Farm Park on Friday. Beautiful weather led to a perfect day for a field trip!
These 2nd graders rocked their class shirts along with Mrs. Cate today! Almost 500 shirts have been sorted and are being distributed. Happy Friday, Minks!
