Happy paraprofessional day! We are grateful for the hard work and dedication our paraprofessionals put in each day for teachers and students. We appreciate them and all they do to make EKB successful!

Our very own Braylin Gonzalez traveled to the national wrestling championships this weekend and took home 4th place! We are so proud of all Braylin has accomplished this year, and we look forward to seeing his future success in high school next year!

Mrs. Brannon's 5th grade ELA class took advantage of the spring weather today and worked in our outdoor classroom!

Today, our 4th grade "Popcorn Drama" guidance lessons covered being a drama-free friend, "blocking" out drama, leaving the "drama" for the movies! Mrs. Stewart's class also delivered popcorn as a special treat to tie the lesson all together!

Denso came to visit our 8th graders yesterday to present career information and opportunities for the future! Great things are happening at EKB!

8th Grade Parents: Don't forget about class registration tomorrow morning! MCHS High School Counselors will be joining us in the cafeteria to build schedules. We will also enjoy breakfast from Dunkin Donuts!

Looking ahead at our March calendar.

Our 8th graders participated in Job Shadow Day last Friday! We were able to visit our students and watch them learn and work! We want to thank our local businesses for welcoming our students to their workplace; we appreciate your support!

We are excited to welcome parents and MCHS counselors to our 8th grade registration day and to prepare our students for the 25'26 school year!

Happy National School Counseling Week! Here at EK Baker, we strive to provide a well-rounded counseling program that supports students and families. It is through the tremendous support from our faculty/staff and our community that this is possible. We appreciate your help in making this program successful and helping it grow!

Love Thy Neighbor is a local program that provides and distributes snack packs to several McMinn County Schools, including E.K. Baker! They are looking for additional community members to help sponsor a child or help fund their program. We are grateful for their contributions to EKB and are proud to be partnered in their mission to help others!

3rd-5th grade students have been learning about supporting others at school and being a good friend during classroom guidance lessons and the BEE the Friend Program. Their teachers noticed a few students who have been demonstrating kindness and friendship towards others, and we have recognized these students with a "Reward Bee" and a prize! Great job EKB students!
